Massage is a form of manual therapy which relaxes muscles and can help ease and soothe away aches and pains. There are many different forms of massage too. Here at The Bod Squad, our fabulous Adelaide massage therapist Megan utilises two of the most effective techniques – remedial and relaxation massage.
What is Remedial Massage?
Remedial Massage uses a combination of techniques to locate, repair, help and relieve muscular pain in areas such as the neck, shoulders, mid and lower back, legs and ITB. These techniques can include deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and stretching. Remedial Massage is used to address a specific problem associated with muscular pain and injury rehabilitation.
Some benefits of Remedial Massage include:
- Reducing pain and tension
- Increase flexibility
- Relaxing and toning muscles
- Improving joint mobility
- Improving blood flow and circulation
- Enhanced energy and vitality
What is Relaxation Massage?
Relaxation Massage is not designed to relieve chronic pain – rather, it is all about making you feel remarkably relaxed! Less intense than Remedial Massage, a Relaxation Massage, through the rhythmic and flowing strokes, can help reduce stress, relax your muscles and ease tension. A Relaxation Massage is not painful.
Whatever your Massage needs, we are here to help at The Bod Squad.
