We are so lucky here in Adelaide, with everything in reasonable proximity from the city to the beach, to the hills and bushland and I think sometimes we take that for granted.
I love to walk, whether it be along sandy boardwalks or off-road tracks, and findings new trails around Adelaide helps to add variety and enjoyment.
Whether you are looking for a gentle stroll or a more strenuous hike, these are my top 3 trails I urge you to try!
1. Brock Reserve in Beaumont
This is a popular one all year round, and for good reason! With great scenic views along the way, looking over the whole of Adelaide City this trail is well worth the sweat!
Various levels of difficulty with multiple track options which link up to one another.
2. Beachside Trail from Glenelg to Somerton Park Beach
This is my go-to for a gentle relaxing stroll or a run when I’m feeling energized. Whether you ride, walk, or run this is a great 5km round trip track with beautiful beach views. What’s even better than the views, is that there is coffee at each end point… or a rewarding swim once your done!
3. First Falls Valley at Morialta Conservation Park
This is just one of the many trails at Morialta and is one the kids will also enjoy. Along the walk you will find an open cave the kids can explore in, followed by a glorious and peaceful waterfall.
There are parklands where you can even enjoy a nice picnic after to reward yourself for getting outdoors and being active.
With the weather warming up, now is the perfect time to get out in nature and explore the lovely trails and tracks there are on offer. Don’t hold back, give it a go and enjoy the outdoor environment.
